ABOUT
MICROBLADING
Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing. This technique is used to create the look of realistic hair strokes by implanting pigment beneath the skin. Microblading can help to add density to existing eyebrow hair or create a completely natural-looking set of eyebrows for those who experience partial or complete hair loss. Our client list includes those who have Alopecia or other autoimmune disorders, Trichotillomania, hair loss due to Chemotherapy, as well as those who are merely looking for a fuller set of brows. The eyebrow shape, color, and texture is fully tailored to each individual client for the most realistic results.

Highly-effective, topical anaesthetics are used before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure.
Bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment. You may fill in your eyebrows with makeup as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you desire. We require our clients to avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to their appointment. Do not drink any alcohol the night before and day of your appointment and limit the amount of caffeine you consume. If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure. It is highly recommended that you avoid the SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule.
Those with combo/oily skin may experience hairstrokes that heal with a diffused, blurred look. Powder brows or nano brows are better options for those with combo/oily skin. If you have little to no existing hair, your tattoo will appear more 2-dimensional than those clients who have more hair naturally. If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment may fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed we cannot guarantee results. In cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, discolored, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before our services will be considered. Previously tattooed areas will almost always require additional sessions and will be charged accordingly. Please send us photos PRIOR to booking so that we can ensure that your brows are workable. Failure to do so could result in the loss of deposit. Please contact us with any further questions. We can be reached at info@hayleystpierre.com
A minimum of two treatments are usually needed, at least 4 to 6 weeks apart. With most procedures, the color looks dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second session, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly after the first session, do not worry. We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment. Regular maintenance is suggested every one to two years.
Keep the area dry for the first 24 hours, blot the treated area with a tissue as needed for the first 24 hours to remove any lymph fluid. Gently wash the treated area twice per day with mild soap (baby shampoo, or vanicream cleanser) pat dry with a paper towel, then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Repeat these steps morning and night for a week. Do not use a washcloth on the treated area. Do not pick or scratch the treated area. Do not use a sauna, swim, or expose to steam for 10 days. Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 10 days. Do not perform any heavy exercise for 1 week. Avoid sweat on the treated area.
